Privacy Notice

Your privacy matters to us. This notice explains what personal information Maycish collects when you use maycish.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights. It applies to our website, our customer support channels and our marketing communications. Last updated September 25, 2026.

Data Controller

Maycish is owned and operated by Mayci Annyel Shortt at 222 Milford Street, Bowling Green, VA 22427, United States. We decide how and why your personal information is processed; Shopify Inc. provides the platform on which the Site runs and processes data under our instructions. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Identifiers and contact details — name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number or WhatsApp number, provided when you order or contact us.
Order and payment information — products purchased, order value, and payment details. Card numbers are collected and processed directly by Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe); we see only the last four digits and the payment method.
Account and communication data — messages you send us, reviews you submit, and your customer service history.
Device and usage data — IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages viewed, referring URLs and interactions with the Site, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see our Cookie Policy).
Marketing preferences — whether you have subscribed to or unsubscribed from our emails.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we share it only as needed to run our business: with Shopify (platform hosting, checkout and order management); payment processors (Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) and the payment methods you choose) to authorize payments and prevent fraud; shipping carriers and fulfillment partners such as USPS, UPS and JS Express located in the United States, China and the European Union, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order; tracking, email and customer service tools that help us communicate with you; analytics and advertising partners (such as Google and Meta) that process usage data through cookies as described in our Cookie Policy; and authorities or advisers when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights and safety. If the business is sold or merged, customer data may be transferred to the successor under the same commitments.

Why We Use Your Data

We use personal information to: process and deliver your orders and send order, shipping and delivery updates; provide customer support and handle returns, refunds and warranty claims; prevent fraud and protect the security of the Site and our payment provider; comply with legal obligations, including tax and consumer protection laws; improve the Site, our products and your shopping experience through analytics; and, with your consent or where permitted, send you marketing communications about our products and offers. We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Data Retention

Retention is tied to purpose: transaction data stays for 7 years (tax and warranty), support tickets for 3 years, marketing consent records until you opt out plus a suppression record so we do not contact you again, and technical logs for up to 12 months. After that, we delete or anonymize the data unless we must keep it for a legal claim or a statutory obligation.

Your Privacy Rights (United States)

Regardless of the state you live in, you can ask us to: access the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your information (subject to legal retention); receive a portable copy of it; and opt out of marketing, of targeted advertising cookies (on the Cookie preferences page), and of any sale or sharing of your data (we do not sell it). We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. Send requests to support@maycish.com with the subject "Privacy request"; we verify your identity using the email associated with your orders and respond within 45 days. If we decline a request, we explain why and you may appeal by replying to our response. Residents of Virginia may also have rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Va. Code § 59.1-575 et seq., and may contact the Virginia Attorney General if an appeal is denied. Do Not Track: our Site does not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals, but we honor Global Privacy Control opt-out signals for targeted advertising where technically supported.

Marketing Emails

We send marketing emails only to customers and subscribers, and you can stop them at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each message or by emailing support@maycish.com; we process the request within 10 business days. Our emails always show who they are from and our physical mailing address, in compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act. Opting out of marketing does not affect order confirmations, shipping notices or replies to your requests.

Minors

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13, in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact support@maycish.com and we will delete it promptly.

How We Protect Your Information

Your data travels over encrypted connections, card payments are handled by PCI-compliant processors so full card numbers never reach us, and only authorized staff can access customer records. We rely on Shopify's security infrastructure for hosting. While we work hard to keep information safe, no system is invulnerable; in the event of a security incident involving your personal information, we will inform you and the authorities in accordance with applicable breach-notification laws.
